Light in body and medium powered finishing nicely fleshed and savoury.
Dark red core with black toned edges and a red hue. Dark cherry, anise and ripe strawberry aromas mix with some dried herb, violet and spicy cedar notes along the way. Light in body, the medium powered palate features a supple flow of dark cherry, strawberry and anise flavours. Subtle earth, dried herb and spicy cedar elements ensue. Polished tannins with a finish that’s nicely fleshed and savoury.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 13%
Other Reviews….
Bright ruby with aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and red cherry fruits with hints of exotic spice, leaf litter, pomegranate, amaro, orange blossom, roast game, dried citrus rind and crushed stone. The gamey notes flow in a bit more on the palate, infusing through the pure dark cherry, strawberry and raspberry fruits as the palate unfurls slowly, supported by chalky tannins and fine, lacy acidity. Drink by 2038.
