2023 Chateau de Chamiery Mercurey Clos de la Maladiere

A rich, juicy Burgundy that has a long satiny finish.

Aged in 400 litre barrels (15% new) for 16 months. Deep dark red core with black toned edges and a red to dark red hue. Fragrant red to dark cherry, strawberry and red liquorice scents are complimented by whiffs of violet, fresh herbs, earth and spicy cedar. Rich dark to black cherry, liquorice, dark raspberry and ripe strawberry fruits carry a juicy feel across the mid weighted palate. Subtle earthy incense, herb and spicy cedar elements sit in the background. Ripe polished tannins with a long satiny and generously fruited finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
