This very serious 2023 Chardonnay Quartz is beautifully proportioned, displaying highly detailed aromas of pith, just-ripe melon and chalky citrus lifted by smoky/flinty tones and finely balanced French oak. Compact in stature, it has a vibrant core of acidity that drives a long, tight finish. It has massive potential over the next decade, at least. Drink 2028 - 2038.

Aromas of minerals, lemon curd, flint, orange blossoms and chalk. The palate is medium-bodied with energetic acidity and a creamy texture, giving complex notes of candied grapefruit, pralines, river stones and ruby grapefruit. Extremely polished and tightly wound, with an underlying power and tension that will age magnificently. Exceptional. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
