2022 Yering Station Shiraz Viognier

Mid weighted, juicy and fresh with an elegant blue to dark fruited finish.

Co-fermented with Viognier and aged in a mix of new and seasoned French oak barriques. Midnight black heart with a dark red black tinged hue. Elevated liquorice and blackberry scents fill the nostrils complimented by some dark plum, subtle apricot, smoky cedar and peppered earth notes. Juicy and fresh, the mid weighted palate is generously endowed with freshly crushed blackberry, liquorice, blueberry and plum fruits. Delicately smoked vanillin cedar and peppered earth elements sit in the background. Polished fine grained tannins with energetic acidity and an elegant blue to dark fruited finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Co-fermented with 3% viognier; matured in 20% new French oak. A deep, plummy red. Bright and perfumed. Black and blue fruited, there's some licorice and tapenade to go with the viognier-induced florals. Medium bodied, this flows evenly across the palate with superfine, persistent tannins giving the wine enough structure to still be looking good five to seven years from now. Drink by 2030.
