2022 Yalumba Hand Picked Shiraz Viognier

Rich and plush with a graphite like tannins and a meaty feel to the long peppery, dried clove laced finish.

Co-fermented with 2% Voignier and including 40% whole bunch Shiraz fruit, this blend was matured for 15 months in French oak puncheons and hogsheads. Midnight black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Spicy plum and dried clove aromas mix with liquorice, smoked meat and peppered earth notes. Rich and plush with dark plum and liquorice fruits to the fore, the full bodied palate is more open for business than the nose. Dried clove, scorched earth and peppered meat nuances sit underneath. Graphite like tannin structure with a meaty feel to the long peppery, dried clove laced finish.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
