2022 Wicks Estate Pinot Noir

The Wicks Estate Woodside Vineyard, which has nine hectares planted to six different clones of Pinot, is one of the coolest in the Adelaide Hills, imparting perfume, concentration and tannin structure in its fruit.
Semi translucent dark red colour with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Alluring scents of violet, red to dark cherry, strawberry and subtle rhubarb show ample fragrance out of the glass with some forest floor, dried herb and spice notes also chiming in. Delicious dark cherry and strawberry fruits unfold across the palate like a peacocks tail with traces of forest floor, rhubarb, dried herbs and spicy cedar interwoven through the back half. Supple and seamless it possesses an excellent power wave and silky tannins, finishing long and expansive. Winner of the International Cool Climate Wine Show’s Best Pinot Noir in Show, Best Red Wine in Show, Best Australian Wine in Show and overall Best Wine in Show.
