2022 Vasse Felix Filius Cabernet Merlot

A wonderfully refined yet beautifully fleshed blend.

Deep black dark red colour with a dark red hue. The nose offers up attractive scents of red to dark currant, mulberry and red liquorice followed by vanillin cedar, subtle tobacco and spicy bay leaf notes. A rich matrix of red currant, mulberry and red liquorice fruits are layered across the mid weighted palate with wonderful refinement. Spicy vanillin cedar, delicate tobacco and bay leaf elements extend across the back half. Seamlessly integrated, fine grained tannins concluding long, elegant and beautifully fleshed.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
