Magnificent density of colour featuring an impenetrable inky black heart and a very deep dark red black hue. Permeating the olfactory senses are intense blackberry, dark plum and liquorice aromas followed by vanillin cedar, earthy fennel and pepper notes. Rich, concentrated and lush, the full bodied palate is awash with succulent liquorice, blackberry, blueberry and plum fruits. Spicy vanillin cedar, earthy fennel and pepper elements lie in the background. Polished yet sturdily built tannins provide ample framework. Good underlying freshness with a long, deeply fruited and gently robust finish.
