The Woodcutter’s Shiraz is sourced from Torbreck’s younger vineyards located in the prime Barossa sub regions of Marananga, Greenock, Seppeltsfield, Gomersal, Moppa, Lyndoch and Ebenezer.
Fruit is hand harvested and fermented in a mixture of cement, wooden and stainless steel vats for 6-7 days. It is then basket pressed to well-seasoned hogsheads and French oak foudres where it’s matured for 12 months.

Rich, succulent and peppery this is another winner from Torbreck.

Impenetrable inky black in colour with a very deep dark purple black tinged hue. Exuberant dark plum, liquorice and blackberry scents engulf the nostrils followed by some vanillin cedar, fennel, inky earth and pepper notes. Rich, concentrated and super succulent the full bodied palate is awash with opulent dark plum, liquorice and blackberry fruits. Lending further personality are vanillin cedar, inky earth and peppered fennel characters. Boasting fantastic length and power for its price it has velvet smooth tannins and good underlying freshness. Concludes long, deep and lush.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
