Matured in new and seasoned French oak barrels for 12 months. Dense saturated inky black heart with a very deep dark purple black hue. Wafting from the glass are freshly crushed blackberry, liquorice, dark plum and black cherry scents which are trailed by some vanillin cedar and peppered earth notes. Rich and concentrated with a thick mouth coating texture, the palate is awash with luscious blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruits which overlay a subtlety toasted vanillin cedar, earth and blackpepper back drop. Carrying a youthful freshness it has polished yet sturdy tannins, an opulent feel and finishes with plenty of power and depth.
