Rich with a mildly firm feel concluding long, fresh and succulent with an air of refinement.

Impenetrable inky black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced aromas of dark plum and liquorice are joined by spicy vanillin cedar, graphite, fennel and subtle peppered earth notes. Rich dark plum, liquorice and blackberry fruits are delivered with plenty of concentration over a spicy vanillin cedar, fennel and peppered earth back drop. A sturdy yet well integrated tannin structure imparts a mildly firm feel. Concludes long, fresh and succulent with an air of refinement.

Heathcote shiraz that brings both the expected ripe, black-fruited intensity of the region's number-one red grape variety balanced with a high degree of elegance. It's a most attractive combination. Lifted aromatics of plum, black cherry and cassis with heady spices and gentle toasty oak. It sits easily, flows effortlessly, but, boy, there is so much life here. It's the best of both worlds: for now and beyond. Drink by 2036.
