2022 Smith & Hooper Merlot

Deep black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Elevated blackcurrant aromas mix with some dark cherry, dried herb, mulberry and spicy earth notes. Rich blackcurrant, dark cherry, liquorice and mulberry fruits carry ample weight and texture across the palate with notions of dried herbs, cedary tobacco characters and spice the undercard. Ripe sturdy yet smooth tannins with a long finish that’s generously endowed with fruit.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
