Deep dark red colour with black shaded edges and a vibrant dark red hue. Lifted spicy raspberry and cherry aromas mix with earth and fresh herb notes. Juicy red cherry and red raspberry fruits overlay earth, subtle tobacco and spice elements. Slightly dryish, fine grained tannins finishing fresh, savoury and spicy.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.

Aromas of bright new season’s morello cherries greet you at first take on this Adelaide Hills Sangiovese, along with an edge of savoury leaf and then fragrant petals, a touch of dried orange peel and a waft of vanilla cream. The palate is fresh and crunchy with flavours of sour cherries and a nebbiolo-like tarry note. It has a delightful smoothness mid-palate, followed by a wake-up of tangy acidity and a rasp of dusty tannins. Perfect slightly chilled on a warm summer’s day poured with wood-fired ‘nduja pizza and torn burrata.
