2022 Ross Hill Maya Chardonnay

The 2022 vintage was a later and cooler vintage than average in Orange with extended hangtime resulting in fresh natural acidity and intense fruit flavours. Matured predominantly in stainless steel on lees, 18% of the wine was aged in older French oak.
Brilliant pale straw colour with a watery hue. Elevated white peach, nectarine and dried honey  aromas are intermeshed with citrusy nougat and spice notes. Rich white peach and nectarine fruits carry a fleshy texture with notions of dried honey, subtle biscuity oak and spicy nougat lurking underneath. Finishes with ample freshness and a long subtlety creamed aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
