2022 Rivulet Glaziers Bay Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with highlights of green around the edges and a watery hue. Nectarine and pear aromas are interwoven with bees wax, lemon butter and spice. Nicely textured, the mid weighted palate features pear, nectarine and bees wax flavours over delicate biscuity oak and infusions of gun flint. Finishes dry with brisk acidity and a refined, fresh mid length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Chardonnay sourced from the Elsewhere vineyard in the Huon Valley; whole-bunch pressed, oxidative handing, matured in French oak (20% new) for 11 months. Light straw with notes of grapefruit, white peach and citrus fruits with hints of soft spice, nougat, lemonade, white flowers, crushed stone and wisp of fennel and mountain herbs. Silky and textural with a lovely palate flow, all yellow fruited and minerally with fine acid drive and dots of cream on the exit. Drink by 2030.
