2022 Punt Road Napoleone Vineyard Block 18 Gamay

Produced with a mix of whole bunch (30%) and whole berry ferments with maturation taking place in old French oak hogsheads for a period of 9 months. Whilst the 2022 vintage produced extremely low yields, the resulting wines were of exceptional quality and possess great concentration.
Dark red core with black shaded edges and a light yet vibrant purple red hue. Exceptionally perfumed and fragrant, violet, red currant and red cherry aromas blossom out of the glass with some clove, subtle earthy incense and spice notes also evident. Deliciously juicy red currant and red cherry fruits glide effortlessly across the palate with some earthy incense, clove and spice characters lurking underneath. Lively acidity and polished tannins concluding long, elegant and moreish.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
