2022 Pizzini Nonna Gisella Sangiovese

Semi translucent red to dark red core with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Attractive scents of red currant, red cherry and earth are followed by some subtle dried herb and spice notes. Savoury and mid weighted the palate features spicy red currant and red cherry fruits over a back drop of scorched earth, dried herbs and delicate tobacco. Finishes with fresh acidity, faintly chalky tannins and a spicy red fruited aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
