After leaving his family domaine in 2005, Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey has established himself as one of the rising stars of Burgundy. Pierre-Yves has built a strong reputation for crafting exquisite white Burgundy that display energy and vitality. The white wines are whole bunch pressed, fermented with natural yeasts, aged on lees for up to 18 months in mostly in 350 litre barrels with no lees stirring and no filtration. The corks used come from one tiny supplier and are extra long and extra wide (55mm x 25mm) for the village, 1er cru and Grand cru wines and are untreated with no paraffin and the bottles are then sealed with soft wax to ensure no problems with premature oxidation. The resulting wines are built to age classically up to 10 years or more.

Other Reviews....
Wafting aromas include those of citrus confit, apple, mineral reduction and a similarly discreet dollop of oak. There is more volume and richness to the beautifully textured and tension-filled medium medium-bodied flavors that conclude in a clean, dry and citrus-tinged finale. Drink through 2027+.

The 2022 Saint-Aubin Village has turned out nicely, bursting with aromas of pear, freshly baked bread, hazelnuts and white flowers. Medium-bodied, fleshy and vibrant, it's a charming, nicely balanced wine that concludes with a saline finish. Lieu-dit Le Banc, formerly bottled as such, makes up some 80% of the blend.

The 2022 Saint-Aubin Village blends four different lieux-dits in the appellation. This has a well-defined bouquet with orchard fruit, hints of orange blossom and white tea. The palate is medium-bodied with impressive concentration. Very good weight for a Saint-Aubin Village, and though not complex per se, it feels very persistent and fresh on the finish. Drink 2025-2039.

This has been racked. Le Ban with several other vineyards included. Pale colour with lime green reflections. Just a little toasty note to the nose, with pure white fruit on the palate, with the vigorous freshness associated with St-Aubin. A tingling finish thanks to the mineral acidity. Drink from 2026-2029.
