2022 Philip Shaw The Wire Walker Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark red core with black toned edges and a light red hue. Attractive violet, dark cherry and strawberry aromas mix with dried herb, forest floor and spice notes. Light and supple in its feel, the palate features delicious red to dark cherry, dried herb and strawberry flavours alongside some forest floor and spice elements. Polished tannins with the smooth and savoury finish layered with red to dark fruit.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

Whole berry fermentation and maturation in mostly older French oak (just 20% new). Fresh-picked black cherries, blood plum skin and blackberries. Bay leaf, star anise and turned earth. Hints of olive tapenade. This is snappy and poised with great fruit weight and structure. Excellent for the pricepoint. Drink by 2026.
