2022 Penna Lane Skilly Valley Riesling

Brilliant water like colour with a very faint tinge of green around the outskirts. Lime, citrus and green apple aromas leap from the glass followed by orange rind and chalky talc notes. Mouth watering lime and lemon flavours race across the crunchy palate with notions of Granny Smith apple, subtle wet steel and flinty mineral characters lying underneath. Finishes dry with zippy acidity and a long scrumptious yet tense aftertaste.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.

I love the pristine and vibrant nose of pink grapefruit, passion fruit and lime zest that pulls you inexorably into this super-racy Clare Valley dry riesling that leaps and bounds over the palate, then shoots off into outer space at the very long and energetic finish. Only just beginning a very long life. A milestone for this producer! Drink or hold. Screw cap.
