Founded in 1983 by Neil and Alison Paulett, son Matt is now at the helm of this highly acclaimed Clare Valley winery. Best known for their Polish Hill River Riesling, the 2022 vintage is one of their best yet – zesty, intensely flavoured and structured.
Brilliant water like core with distinct overtones of green skirting the edges. Soaring out of the glass are intense lime and citrus aromatics followed by notions of green apple, orange rind, talc and steely mineral notes. Mouth watering lime and citrus fruits drive the racy palate backed by orange rind, granny smith apple, chalky talc and steely mineral infused acidity. Dry taut finish with a long aftertaste that’s crunchy fresh.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
Alc. 12%

Other Reviews....
A tightly wound, classic Clare expression. It's nervy and ultra-refreshing, crisp and very dry. Scents of lemongrass, lime juice and green apple with flavours similarly echoing the bouquet. Concentrated but still flinty and lighter in weight. Mouth-watering and intense, it's a pristine and very direct offering, mainlining the quintessential, regional style. Great drinking now, but should age gracefully. Drink by 2040.
