2022 Parker Estate Terra Rossa Cabernet Sauvignon
Mid weighted and generously fruited with a sturdy structure and long finessed conclusion.
Matured for 12 months in French oak of which 50% was new. Midnight black heart with a dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced blackcurrant and liquorice aromas are complimented by some mulberry, cedary tobacco, earthy black olive and subtle bay leaf notes. Rich blackcurrant, ripe mulberry and liquorice fruits line the mid weighted palate and show excellent concentration. Cedary tobacco, earth and infusions of bay leaf ensue. Sturdy fine grained tannin structure with a long conclusion that shows classic Coonawarra finesse.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
Alc. 14.5%
Other Reviews….
Estate fruit. Maturation in (30% new) oak for 14 months. Blackberries on the bush, blackcurrants and juniper berries. Baked red clay, driftwood and dried bush greens. Bay leaf and caperberry. There is a crackle of dried leaves to the sound this wine gives out. It's as Australian as ’dry as a bone’. Cedar, tea brewing in a billy and all the nostalgia. Oak and saltbush are part of the fabric of the wine. Just splendid. Drink by 2035.
