2022 Muto Touriga Nacional

Aged in 500 litre puncheon barrels (10% new) for a period of 10 months. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Lifted ripe morello cherry, liquorice and dried herb aromas mingle with hints of earth and spicy leather. Mid weighted the juicy palate is a mix of morello cherry, black cherry and liquorice fruits which meld into a smoky dried herb, earth and spicy leather back drop. Turns savoury on the dryish finish with neat acidity and slightly chewy tannins.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

Splashes of chocolate powder on a bed of red cherry and chicory. It's a high-energy red wine with just enough grip and flavour to satisfy, but with more than enough going on to hold your attention. Drink well, drink different. Drink by 2027.
