2022 Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard Old Pump Shed Lenswood Pinot Noir

Established in 1992, Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard is a small, sustainable vineyard located at Lenswood in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. Situated at an elevation of 550m, it specializes in producing high-quality wines from hand-tended vines. Old Pump Shed combines 12 different Pinot Noir clones, planted in 1994 and 1995 on one of the scarce north-facing blocks in Lenswood. The wine undergoes maturation in 20% new French oak.
Dark red core with black toned edges and a purple red tinged hue. Fragrant fresh herb and violet laced aromas of red cherries and red plum are interlaced with hints of stalky cedar and spice. Light in body red cherry, winter strawberry and forest floor flavours overlay delicate cedar and spice elements. Fine grained tannins with a savoury mid length conclusion.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
