2022 Mountadam Vineyards Estate High Eden Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with highlights of green around the edges and a watery hue. Delightful white peach, ripe nectarine and dried honey aromas sail through the nostrils followed by some subtle roasted almond, citrusy nougat and gun flint notes. Fleshy textured white peach and nectarine fruits drive the mid weighted palate with infusions of gun flint, subtle dried honey and delicate spicy cashew lying underneath. Refined and fresh in its feel. Excellent concentration with a long, delicately creamed finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Chardonnay from the Mountadam Estate, established in 1972 in the cool subregion of High Eden at 550m above sea level. Pale straw with aromas of white peach, nectarine and citrus fruits with hints of clotted cream, lemon curd, soft spice, vanillin, crushed stone and nougat. There is a seam of fine, lacy acidity providing plenty of velocity and verve, pure citrus and stone fruits and a refreshing, dry savoury finish.
