Rich and opulent with a solidly built tannin structure and long, lavish finish.

From vines planted in 1953. Impenetrable inky black heart with a near equally deep dark red black hue. Heady ripe blackberry, dark chocolate and liquorice scents engulf the nostrils followed by toasty vanillin oak, earthy mocha and spice notes. Rich and opulent, the full bodied palate is flush with dark plum, liquorice and dark chocolate flavours. Spicy vanillin oak and earthy mocha elements extend across the back half. Ripe, solidly built tannin structure with a long, lavish finish.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
