2022 Marchand & Burch Villages Chardonnay

Matured in older French oak. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Pronounced white peach, nectarine and lemon butter aromas flow from the glass with hints of dried honey, biscuity oak and spice also evident. Mid weighted nectarine, peach and citrus fruits are delivered with good intensity. Subtle lemon butter, bees wax and delicate gun flint characters linger underneath. Nicely fleshed it finishes with a burst of fresh acidity and a delicately creamed aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
