2022 Longview Saturnus Nebbiolo

Supple on entry yet restrained in it’s feel with vibrant acidity and slightly muscular tannins.

Dark red core with black toned edges and a light red to red hue. Delighting the olfactory senses are aromas of red cherries, rose petals, red raspberries and red liquorice which are followed by whiffs of earth, dried herbs and spice. Supple on entry yet restrained in it’s feel, dried and morello cherry flavours are featured over Mediterranean herb, earthy leather and brambly spice characters. Vibrant acidity and slightly muscular tannins lend some firmness to the mid length finish.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

This wine pours with an appropriate vibrant-garnet colour. So tense and fine; a medium-weight red of cranberry, rosehip tea and woody spices, with cola, just-ripe raspberry and fennel in tow. So very succulent, great length, amazing fine-grained tannin profile and a general sense of freshness. It feels so legit, so good to drink, serious but with such high drinkability. Awesome. Drink by 2043.
