2022 Longview Fresco Nebbiolo Pinot Nero Barbera

A light, frisky red fruited blend with chalky tannins and a dry savoury finish.

Dark red black tinged core with a red to dark red hue. Earthy scents of red and morello cherries mix with some dried herb and spice notes. Light to medium weight with a frisky feel, the palate sports red cherry and cranberry fruits over an earth, dried herb and spice back drop. Chalky tannins with a dry savoury finish.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.

A blend of nebbiolo, pinot nero and barbera styled as a young, nouveau-style red. Juicy and bright with a revitalising crispness, pretty perfume, fresh fruit characters, light spice and a slight lean into amaro or vermouth-like botanical elements. What a delight! It's frisky and fresh, all red berries, sour cherry too, a touch of cola, with herbs and spice, a playfulness, but enough slip of tannin and briny acidity to let you know there's more going on. One could imagine a chill in this wine's future too. Drink by 2026.
