2022 Lodali Rocche Dei 7 Fratelli Barbaresco DOCG
Juicy red cherry and red liquorice fruits with mildly muscular tannins and a long energetic conclusion.
Semi translucent red colour with a light rusty red hue. A fragrant mix of red liquorice, rose petal and red currant are followed by some dried herb, red cherry and delicate spicy earth notes. Juicy red cherry and red liquorice fruits drive the palate with undertones of red currant, scorched earth and spicy dried herbs also evident. Quite supple in its flow with mildly muscular tannins lending some gentle grip across the long energetic, red fruited conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 14%
Other Reviews….
A garden-variety Barbaresco with red fruit, leafy lightness and a touch of spices. The attack is soft, with a medium body, velvety tannins, integrated freshness and a chewy finish. Drinkable now, but best from the end of 2025.

The 2022 Barbaresco Rocche dei 7 Fratelli is a blend from Ferrere and Giacone, both in Treiso. Aromatic and light on its feet, with lovely brightness, the 2022 is a jewel of a wine. Sweet red cherry, white pepper, chalk and dried herbs are all beautifully delineated in this vibrant yet ethereal Barbaresco. This fragrant, understated Barbaresco is impeccably done. The 2022 was fermented in cement and aged in neutral cask for 18 months. Drink 2024-2032.
