2022 Lethbridge Que Syrah Syrah
Made in a traditional old world style using 3000 litre vessel for fermentation then matured in 1200 litre oak foudres.
Dense black dark red core with a dark red black tinged hue. Soaring out of the glass are dark plum, blackberry and liquorice aromas which are complexed by clove, earth, smoky cedar and peppered meat notes. Rich dark plum and liquorice fruits are well fleshed across the medium to full bodied palate. Notions of scorched earth, smoked meats, dried clove, spicy cedar and blackpepper then move in. Fine grained tannins lend a polished feel to the long savoury finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 14%

Well, whoa, this is a mouthful of fun. It’s so expressive, it’s ribald. It’s wild with black pepper and bell pepper, violets and black cherries, twigs and boysenberry, with smoky, cedarwood oak also exerting a positive, integrated influence throughout. Talk about delicious, though. You open this up and it just comes at you with both barrels; honey and soy, flowers, peppers and jellied fruit bursting to all corners. I love it. Drink 2025-2030.
