2022 Leeuwin Estate Prelude Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon
A generously endowed mid weighted Cabernet with a refined feel and elegant finish.
Midnight black dark red in colour with a deep dark red hue. Sailing from the glass are delightful red to black currant and mulberry scents followed by some subtle dusty cedar, tobacco, black olive and bay leaf notes. Mid weighted, the palate is generously endowed with red to black currant and mulberry fruits which are complimented by some tobacco, dusty vanillin cedar and subtle infusions of bay leaf. Refined in its feel, it has a stylish yet rendered tannin structure and an elegant finish.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
Alc. 13.5%
Other Reviews.....
Just lovely Margaret River cabernet aromas and flavours abound. Textbook stuff, quality wine with the fruit infused with cedary, spicy oak, menthol, a hint of chocolate and bay leaves. It’s flavoursome, fuller bodied but not at all heavy, with an abundance of ripe, supple tannins and fine acidity. All things considered, including the price, this is a steal. Drink by 2036.
