2022 Le Baron de Malleret

A medium to full bodied entry level Bordeaux that shows ample richness and power.

The second label of Chateau de Malleret, this wine comes from 25 year old vines and is a blend of 65% Merlot, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot.
Midnight black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Elevated aromas of blackcurrant and liquorice are trailed by some spicy vanillin cedar, dusty earth and subtle dried herb notes. Rich and concentrated, the medium to full bodied palate is flooded with juicy blackcurrant and liquorice fruits. Some black cherry, inky earth and spicy vanillin cedar elements sit underneath. Powerful and quite opulent in nature it has ripe, slightly chewy tannins and a long deeply fruited finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
