Prior to the Lindner family’s move into grape growing and winemaking, they had four generations of butchers which is the inspiration for this labels name – ‘Prime Cut’.

Fruit was sourced from the Light Pass, Stone Well, Moppa and Eden Valley regions of the Barossa with maturation taking place in American oak of which 10% was new for a period of 10 months. Impenetrable inky black heart with a deep dark purple black hue. Aromas of freshly crushed dark plum and liquorice are followed by some vanillin cedar, hints of earthy graphite and pepper. Rich fleshy dark plum, liquorice and blackberry fruits decorate the medium to full bodied palate with spicy vanillin cedar and peppered earth elements lying underneath. Polished yet sturdy tannin structure finishing youthfully fresh, long and juicy.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 14.5%

Other Reviews….
The deep crimson-purple colour is eye catching, and the palate more so. This is a dyed-in-the-wool Barossa shiraz, with abundant blackberry and plum fruit aided by just the right amount of tannin to provide balance. Speaks truly of the very good vintage, and is a steal at this price. Drink by 2040.
