Deep magenta/crimson with aromas of satsuma plum, blackberry and red cherry, plus a touch of raspberry pip lift. Hints of brown spices, fruitcake, violets, fruit-and-nut chocolate, pan juices, olive tapenade, vanillin oak and earth. Medium bodied, with some nice red-fruited high tones amongst the dark fruits; a seam of spice remaining constant throughout, and ample structure for medium-term cellaring.
