2022 J. Moreau & Fils Les Coches Chardonnay

Renowned Chablis producer J.Moreau & Fils have branched out from their traditional roots to produce this very affordable Chardonnay that’s quite Chablisisque like. Vins de France is a relatively new appellation that allows winemakers to source grapes from different French regions and allows for a greater liberty in winemaking techniques.
Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged outskirts and a watery hue. Aromas of white peach and subtle dried honey are intermeshed with green apple and wet stone notes. Showing good intensity, fleshy white peach, nectarine and dried honey flavours are layered across the palate with a nicely weighted textural feel. Some stony mineral elements lie underneath. Finishes dry and fresh with a gentle cream tinged feel to the long refined conclusion.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
