2022 Ichiros Malt Chichibu The Peated Cask Strength Single Malt Japanese Whisky (700ml)

Although most of Chichibu’s current production is unpeated, peated new-make is sometimes produced during the last month before the maintenance season starts. After a four-year hiatus, it’s finally back. This is Japan's most acclaimed peated whisky, with phenols to match the likes of Ardbeg. The previous edition was bottled in 2018 for the 10th anniversary of Chichibu, and again, this limited release has been matured in ex-Bourbon barrels for between five and seven years and bottled at cask strength. 11,000 bottles are on offer globally. 53.5% Alc./Vol.
