2022 Ian Leamon Riesling

The superb quality of the 2022 vintage for Riesling extends to the Strathbogie ranges in Victoria with this outstanding example produced from 40 year old vines.
Brilliant water like colour with a greenish tinge skirting the edges. Leaping from the glass is a powerful combination of lime, citrus and orange rind scents which are trailed by some green apple, talc and chalky mineral notes. Delivered with superb concentration are mouth watering lime and citrus fruits which are underpinned by zippy acidity. Cast in the background are notions of orange rind, talc and chalky mineral characters. Finishes dry and crisp with an aftertaste that’s long, intensely flavoured and racy.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
