Brilliant very pale straw colour with subtle hints of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Aromas of pear and red apple leap out of the glass with hints of honeysuckle, light musk and quince also evident. Sprawling across the palate are delicious pear, red apple and lime fruits with some quince and delicate musk elements lying underneath. Beautiful fresh acidity with a long refreshing finish.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.

Other Reviews....
Tasmania led the way with pinot gris, entering it in the Tasmanian Wine Show long before the mainland had any experience of it – as one of the judges I went through a period of head scratching 20 years ago. This wine has been beautifully made, with the lightest of touches from Rebecca Duffy: 10% wild fermented in used oak and 10% in tank, with 3 months on yeast lees. 7g/L acidity and 4g/L RS complete the deal. Drink by 2027.
