Matured in seasoned French oak for 15 months. Dense pitch black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Nosing draws out elevated scents of dark plum and liquorice followed by vanillin cedar, subtle fennel and pepper. Rich fleshy dark plum and liquorice fruits carry a juicy feel over vanillin cedar, inky earth and spicy pepper characters. Bright youthful finish with slightly chalky tannins and a succulent yet chewy aftertaste.
