2022 Heathcote Winery The Origin Shiraz

A polished Heathcote Shiraz that has a refined quality to it.

Dense inky black colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced dark plum and liquorice aromas intermix with vanillin cedar, dried herb and peppered earth notes. Rich dark plum, liquorice and dark cherry fruits meld into a vanillin cedar, fennel and peppered earth back drop. Fleshy textured it has a polished yet underlyingly sturdy tannin structure and a lengthy finish that has a sumptuous yet refined quality to it.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Harmonious and nicely concentrated in its youth, it delivers the kind of natural balance intrinsic to the region's Cambrian soil.
