2022 Hay Shed Hill Chardonnay

Fermented and matured for 11 months in French oak barriques. Bright pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Ripe pear and nectarine aromas mix with hints of red apple, lemon butter and spice. Medium bodied pear, nectarine and apple flavours carry good flesh over a back drop of lemon butter and subtle gun flint. Nicely balanced acidity with a mid length conclusion.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

This is a first-class estate chardonnay from a great vintage; using the best free-run juice fermented in French barriques and matured therein for 11 months. The richness of the white peach and melon fruit gives rise to classic each way drinking options. Drink to 2032.
