2022 Forest Hill Vineyard Chardonnay

From vines planted in 1985. Pale straw colour with highlights of green around the edges and a watery hue. Nectarine and white peach scents show good lift out of the glass with some pear, delicate biscuity oak, nougat and gun flint notes ensuing. Mouth filling nectarine, pear and citrus fruits are layered across the palate with excellent intensity. Notions of biscuity oak, nougat and flinty characters line the back half. Nicely rounded it finishes long and refined with good freshness.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
