2022 Fire Gully Chardonnay

From 20-30 year old vines this Chardonnay was aged for 10 months in older oak barrels. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Expressive aromas of white peach, melon and dried honey meld with subtle biscuity oak, citrusy nougat and delicate flinty notes. Rich fleshy white peach, nectarine, citrus and dried honey flavours carry plenty of intensity across the mid weighted palate. Lively acidity lends freshness with citrusy nougat, traces of butterscotch and flinty mineral elements lingering on the back half. Good textural volume with a long energised finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
