$275.88 Dozen
Cellar: Drink now - 1 Years (2022-2023)

Produced from a blend of 50% Merlot, 35% Cabernet and 15% Shiraz with fermentation taking place in stainless steel tanks. Regular lees stirring was undertaken to build texture and round out the palate.
Translucent salmon pink in colour. Sailing out of the glass are fragrant aromas of raspberry, strawberry and pomegranate followed by some peach and subtle wet stone notes. Delicious raspberry and peach fruits make a silken entry onto the palate with some cranberry, musk and wet stone characters lingering on the back half. Finishes dry with refreshing acidity and a highly flavoursome aftertaste.
Drink over the next year.
Alc. 13%

Other Reviews….
In the class system of Australian rosé, I reckon Ben Portet is at worst a viscount, possibly a prince. Just saying. Clear glass bottles for rosato are probably not ideal, but I accept that people need to see the colour for their money.
Good wine, and invariably good and tasty is the rosato from Portet. Redcurrant, strawberry, a little aniseed and dried rose perfume. Crisp, a little milky in texture, with blood orange tang, smooth yet sappy, and a little bit savoury and nutty. It’s always a good drink, and same again in 2022. Excellent. Fresh and tasty, a little truffle/earthiness too. Drink 2022-2024.

A hand-picked and fragrant blend of 50/35/15% merlot/cabernet sauvignon/shiraz with aromas of wild spring flowers and spices. The palate is positively fruity (but not sweet). Drink by 2023.
