2022 De Bortoli Riorret Eastern Ridge Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with a watery hue. Attractive pear, nectarine and dried honey scents fill the nostrils followed by hints of crème brulee, biscuity nougat and subtle gun flint. Rich expansive and beautifully refined, the palate is layered with pear, white peach and nectarine fruits which sit over a delicate biscuity oak, cashew, citrusy dried honey and wet stone back drop. Fresh acidity provides definition. Finishes long, elegant and faintly creamy. An impressive Burgundian like effort to drink over the next 5-6 years.
