2022 Dalwood Estate Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Aromas of nectarine and grapefruit mix with melon and gun flint like notes. Vibrant nectarine, green apple, water melon and grapefruit flavours have a light zingy feel with subtle roasted almond and flinty mineral characters lying underneath. Dry finish with crisp acidity and a snappy, flint infused aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Concentrated aromas, nougat and almond meal with peaches and apples, just enough of cloves and nutmeg spice. The palate is leaner than the rich nose but still full-flavoured, focused, with grapefruit juice and wet stones mineral aftertaste. It has an elegant and steady flow. There’s a bit of salt and dried eucalyptus leaves in it too, nice one. Solid expression, built well.
