2022 Coriole Piquepoul

Brilliant very pale straw colour with a watery hue. Lifted pear and red apple skin aromas intermix with quince, fresh herb and spice notes. Nicely rounded flavours of pear, red apple and lime are underscored by brisk acidity with some spicy quince characters lingering on the back half. Finishes dry and refreshing.
Drink over the next year.

This rare variety 'has been one of the favourite grape varieties of the Lloyd family for many years', easily understood once you have tasted this wine, a cross between fiano and marsanne. It has truly delicious and refreshing acidity on its finish. Drink to 2030.
