2022 Clarnette Riesling

Brilliant very pale straw colour with highlights of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Pronounced lime and citrus scents mix with orange rind, wet steel and slatey mineral notes. The zippy palate features racy lime and lemon fruit over crunchy green apple, wet steel and mineral elements. Finishes dry and taut with sizzling acidity and a long zesty conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Partially barrel fermented (40%). The fruit flavours themselves are the key here, they're just so intense and so striking, all lime and green pineapple, apple skins and lemon meringue pie. There's a textural element and a tautness, but that fruit, wow, it's a force to be reckoned with. Drink by 2032.
