2022 Chateau Doisy-Vedrines (375ml) Pre-Arrival Offer
Once part of the large Doisy estate founded in 1704, Chateau Doisy-Vedrines was named after one of the early owners of the estate after Doisy was separated into three properties in 1851. Chateau Doisy-Vedrines is now owned by the Casteja family who also own Chateau Trotte Vieille in Saint-Emilion and Chateau Batailley in Pauillac among their portfolio. The vineyard is planted to 80% Semillon, 15% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Muscadelle, and along with their grand vin they produce a second wine under the Chateau Petit Vedrines label. Interestingly they choose to label their wines as Sauternes, rather than Barsac as with the two other Doisy properties.
Other Reviews....
The 2022 Doisy-Vedrines is wonderfully floral and delicate in the glass. Dried pear, spice, chamomile and mint all grace this exquisite Barsac. I very much like the energy here. Drink 2027-2047.

Antonio Galloni - Vinous
Thrilling and fun, bright and forward on the palate with lemon, lime, orange and pineapple - gorgeous tropical elements with a weighty, thick, unctuous texture. Lovely appeal here, really quite generous and tasty. It just has the acidity and the buzz you want - giving so much life- and then really matches the thickness and strong sweetness. I like this a lot. Fun, sweet and so drinkable but still with detail. Drink 2027 - 2050.

Lush, sweet, ripe, yellow tropical fruits with pineapples, apricots, and candied orange all coated with honey are in the nose and palate. Drink from 2025-2045.
